A whipped, bronzing body soufflé that melts into skin like butter and leaves behind a subtle golden tint — no streaks, no orange, no self-tanner chemistry. Built on grass-fed tallow, shea butter, and organic cacao powder for a natural warm glow you can layer all year.
What it's for
- Adding warmth and depth to winter skin when summer sun is gone
- Enhancing an existing tan instead of replacing it with a fake one
- A subtle glow for legs, arms, shoulders, collarbone, and décolleté
- Skin that looks tired, pale, or washed out in photos
- Anyone who wants to skip self-tanner chemicals and mystery ingredients
- Pre-event prep — weddings, date nights, beach days, photo shoots
What's in it
- Grass-fed & finished beef tallow — slowly rendered from suet sourced from regenerative California ranches. The nutrient-dense base. Delivers vitamins A, D, E, and K while deeply moisturizing.
- Unrefined organic shea butter — packed with fatty acids and natural anti-inflammatories. Adds the whipped, airy soufflé texture and softens rough body patches.
- Organic jojoba oil — lightweight, non-comedogenic, and molecularly closest to skin's natural sebum. Absorbs without leaving a greasy finish.
- Organic cacao powder — the bronzing magic. Natural pigment that lends a warm honey-brown tint without any synthetic dye or dihydroxyacetone (DHA) found in commercial self-tanners. Rich in antioxidants.
- Organic Ceylon cinnamon (infused) — adds warmth and gentle circulation support. Contributes to the soufflé's cozy, gourmand scent.
- Organic carrot seed oil — rich in beta-carotene and antioxidants. Adds another layer of natural warm pigment and nourishment.
- Organic sandalwood essential oil — a woodsy, grounding base note. Calms and tones skin while adding depth to the scent.
- Organic Madagascar vanilla bean essential oil — sweet and warm. The note that makes customers describe this soufflé as "smells like vacation."
That's it. No DHA. No synthetic dyes. No self-tanner chemicals. No seed oils. No preservatives.
How to use
- Apply to clean, dry skin — scrubbed or exfoliated skin holds the bronze best
- Scoop a small amount (roughly a dime for one leg) and warm it between your palms
- Massage evenly onto legs, arms, shoulders, or décolleté in circular motions
- Blend thoroughly at ankles, wrists, and hairlines to avoid demarcation lines
- Wash your hands thoroughly after application — cacao is pigmented
- Let skin absorb for 5-10 minutes before dressing
What to expect
- Texture: whipped like buttercream, melts into skin on contact
- Color delivery: subtle, buildable warmth — not dramatic. First application gives a soft glow; 2-3 applications over a week builds a more visible tint.
- Undertone: warm honey-brown, not orange. Works on most skin tones.
- Scent: warm cocoa with vanilla, cinnamon, and a whisper of sandalwood — gourmand without being sweet or perfumed
- Finish: silky, slightly dewy — absorbs fully in 5-10 minutes with no residue on clothes once absorbed
- Wash-off: comes off with regular showering within 1-2 washes (unlike self-tanners that stain for a week)
Pairs with
For the smoothest color payoff, exfoliate with our Honey Bamboo Scrub Bar the day before applying. Fresh skin takes bronze more evenly. Follow up with our Honey Tallow Balm on any rough patches (elbows, knees, ankles) so they don't absorb extra pigment and look darker than the rest of your skin.
The craft
We whip this soufflé in small batches in Oakdale, California. The cacao is hand-sifted and incorporated slowly so the pigment distributes evenly. Every jar is hand-filled and labeled. Shelf life 12+ months unopened. Store in a cool place — if it melts in summer heat, refrigerate for 10 minutes to re-firm the texture.

It's great, very light tone. If you ever make one with a little more darker bronzer, I'll get that one next time.
During the winter my skin misses the sun, coco tropics on my face and body keeps me sun kissed bronze all year round. I get so many compliments on my skin at work. If you’re someone who wants healthy glowing skin this is for you!
I recently got coco tropics bronzing souffle to try after a friend recommended it. I am absolutely obsessed with how it makes my skin look & feel. I am now using it in place of my moisturizer & foundation! My skin looks so happy, healthy and hydrated. I didn't think anything could beat the Honey Tallow Balm but this is my new favorite Frontier Organics product.
10/10 recommend!
I've been using the Coco Tropics Bronzing Souffle for a few weeks. The other day, my husband said out of the blue that my legs looked good and asked if I had been tanning. I told him no, it was a new procedure that I've been using. Now I use it every day!
