What's in it

• Saponified grass-fed tallow + goat's milk — the nourishing base. Tallow mirrors skin's natural sebum; goat's milk adds lactic acid for gentle chemical exfoliation on top of the physical scrub. Keeps skin hydrated while it cleanses.
• Activated charcoal — the classic purifier. Binds to excess oils and environmental residue on the skin's surface. The reason this bar is black.
• Bentonite clay — a volcanic-ash-derived clay that draws excess oil and surface impurities. Also soothing for inflamed or breakout-prone skin.
• Unrefined organic shea butter — rich in vitamins A and E. The moisturizing counterweight to the detoxifying ingredients — keeps your skin from feeling tight or stripped after.
• Unrefined organic coconut oil — boosts lather and deepens cleansing.
• Vitamin E (mixed tocopherols) — natural antioxidant that protects the formula and supports skin recovery.
• Organic frankincense and myrrh essential oils — warm, grounding, gender-neutral scent. Traditionally used in skincare for 2,000+ years.

How to use

1. Wet the bar and your skin in the shower or bath
2. Rub the bar directly over areas that need deeper cleansing — back, chest, shoulders, face, underarms
3. Massage the lather into skin in circular motions for 30-60 seconds so the charcoal and clay can bind to surface oils
4. For blackhead-prone areas (nose, chin): leave the lather on for 1-2 minutes before rinsing, like a brief mask
5. Rinse thoroughly
6. Use 2-3 times per week for face, daily if needed for body or acne-prone areas

The craft

Soap-made the traditional way. Grass-fed tallow is slowly saponified with goat's milk in small batches at low temperature — a cold-process technique that preserves the goat milk's naturally occurring lactic acid. Once saponification is complete, the charcoal, bentonite clay, and essential oils are folded in, and pieces of dried natural loofah are embedded throughout. Each bar is cut by hand and cured for 4-6 weeks before packaging — this extended cure produces a harder, longer-lasting bar with more dense lather. Hand-made in Oakdale, California.
