What's in it — grouped by function

The ancestral base

• Grass-fed & finished beef tallow — slowly rendered from suet sourced from regenerative California ranches. The skin-identical lipid base that makes every other active deliver further. Vitamins A, D, E, and K are naturally present.

The carrier oils (five silk-light oils that transport actives into receptive skin)

• Organic jojoba oil — molecularly closest to human sebum. Balances oil production, calms breakouts, and absorbs instantly.
• Olive-derived squalane — weightless, fast-absorbing, zero greasiness. Silks out the texture of the whole formula.
• Meadowfoam seed oil — one of the most oxidation-stable oils in nature. Locks in moisture without a heavy finish.

• Prickly pear seed oil — the desert's luxury oil. Extracted at a rate of 1 ton of cactus seeds per 1 liter of oil. Richest plant source of vitamin K and one of the highest vitamin E concentrations in skincare.

• Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) — a cellular antioxidant naturally produced by the body, which declines with age. Topical CoQ10 is one of the most studied ingredients for supporting the appearance of firmness and reducing oxidative stress in skin.
• Astaxanthin — a marine-derived carotenoid and one of the most potent antioxidants found in nature. Gives the elixir its subtle warm-red hue and supports an even complexion.
• Pure bakuchiol — a plant-derived compound from the babchi plant, used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. A gentle alternative to retinol for supporting skin renewal without the sensitivity, dryness, or sun risk of retinoids. Safe for daytime use and pregnancy-friendly.

The botanical blend (four essential oils for tone, calm, and scent)

• Helichrysum (immortelle) essential oil — the "eternal flower." Traditionally used to support the appearance of an even complexion.
• Frankincense essential oil — used in skincare for over 2,000 years. Warm, meditative, grounding.
• Myrrh essential oil — ancient resin with traditional uses for skin renewal. Deepens the scent profile.
• Blue tansy essential oil — famously deep-blue. Traditionally used to soothe redness and reactive skin.

How to use

1. Cleanse and tone (if you use toner) as usual
2. Apply 3-6 drops to fingertips — more is not better, this oil absorbs efficiently
3. Press into slightly damp skin with flat palms, moving upward and outward
4. Use alone as a complete treatment, OR layer under your usual moisturizer for deeper hydration
5. Morning, night, or both — safe for daily use
6. Particularly effective as a night treatment on exfoliated or post-cleanse skin

The craft

Every bottle is hand-blended in small batches in Oakdale, California. The actives (CoQ10, astaxanthin, and bakuchiol) are incorporated last, at low temperature, to preserve their potency. Packaged in premium amber glass with a UV-resistant dropper to protect the astaxanthin and vitamin E from light degradation. Shelf life 12 months unopened, 6 months after opening.
