Why only 5 ingredients matters

Most setting powders contain 15-30 ingredients — silicones, parabens, talc, synthetic fragrances, and a dozen preservatives. Ours is five. Every ingredient has a real function. Nothing is there to make it cheaper to produce, last longer on a shelf, or smell artificially "clean." Just five clean, purposeful ingredients.

What's in it

• Organic arrowroot powder — the silky base. A natural plant starch that absorbs excess oil and moisture without the chalky feel of synthetic absorbers. Keeps the powder feeling breathable and weightless.
• Kaolin clay — a gentle white mineral clay. Absorbs excess sebum throughout the day, controls shine, and creates a smooth matte base without stripping skin's natural moisture.
• Organic tapioca starch — the blur. Fills in the look of fine lines and pores with an optical soft-focus effect. Lightweight enough to blend invisibly.
• Organic colloidal oat flour — finely ground oat used as a topical skin soother. Rich in antioxidants. Calms irritation and supports the skin barrier, which is why this powder works on sensitive skin that rejects other setting powders.
• Natural mica — a finely milled mineral that catches light without sparkle or shimmer. Adds the "soft-focus" glow that keeps the finish from looking flat or dull.

That's the entire formula. No talc, no polymers, no synthetic fragrances, no preservatives, no fillers.

How to use

1. Dip the included brush or powder puff lightly into the jar
2. Tap off excess — this powder goes a long way, and too much will make any powder look dusty
3. Sweep across the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) to set and minimize shine
4. Press the puff into areas where makeup tends to crease (under-eyes, smile lines)
5. For a no-makeup look: dust lightly over bare, moisturized skin for a soft-focus finish
6. Touch up throughout the day as needed — won't build up or look caked

The craft

We blend each batch by hand in Oakdale, California. The arrowroot, tapioca, and oat flour are finely sifted three times to remove any coarse particles, then combined with kaolin and mica in small ceramic bowls and gently mixed until fully homogenous. Packaged in a premium glass jar with a protective sifter cap. Shelf life 24+ months unopened (powders last longer than creams).
