An herbal-infused hair and scalp oil, made the slow way. The carrier oils (slow-infused with herbs for 4-6 weeks)

• Organic rosemary — the most studied herb in hair care. Traditionally used for thicker-looking hair and a balanced scalp.

• Organic horsetail herb — one of the highest natural sources of silica, the mineral most associated with hair strength and elasticity.

How to use

1. Shake well — oils may settle slightly between uses
2. Part dry or slightly damp hair into 4-6 sections
3. Apply 3-5 drops directly to the exposed scalp in each section
4. Massage gently in circular motions for 5-10 minutes — this is the most important step. The massage is what increases circulation and helps the oil penetrate.
5. Leave on for at least 30 minutes — or overnight (wrap your pillow in a towel) for deeper conditioning

What to expect

• Texture: medium-bodied oil — thicker than jojoba alone (because of the castor) but not sticky or syrupy. Glides easily onto scalp.
• Color: warm honey-amber from the herbal infusion and sea buckthorn
• Scent: earthy and herbal — rosemary, fenugreek, and nettle dominate, with a clean menthol top note. Not floral, not perfumed.
• Sensation: a pleasant cooling tingle from the menthol — lasts 3-5 minutes during application, signals the formula is working
• Hair feel after rinse: conditioned, soft, with visible shine. May feel slightly heavy for fine hair on the first use — a clarifying wash next time will balance it.

The craft

The infusion is the secret. We dry our herbs (rosemary, nettle, horsetail, fenugreek) and slowly steep them in cold-pressed castor and jojoba oil for 4-6 weeks at low temperature. Slow infusion extracts the oil-soluble compounds without destroying the heat-sensitive nutrients. After steeping, we strain out the herbs through fine cheesecloth, then blend the infused oil with sea buckthorn, black seed, and vitamin E. Menthol crystals are added last. Every bottle is hand-filled in Oakdale, California, and packaged in amber glass with a precision dropper. Shelf life 12+ months.
