TallowGlow Outdoor Balm

A weather-resistant balm for skin that works outside. Grass-fed tallow, beeswax, non-nano zinc oxide, and a blend of nourishing plant oils — built for ranchers, gardeners, surfers, hikers, and anyone whose face spends more time in the wind than in front of a screen.

What's in it

• Grass-fed & finished beef tallow — slowly rendered from suet sourced from regenerative California ranches. Mirrors your skin's natural oils and locks in moisture. Naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K.
• Virgin organic coconut oil — adds glide and deep moisture with a subtle tropical note. Naturally stable in heat and humidity.
• Raw beeswax — creates a breathable, water-resistant protective layer that locks in the balm without clogging pores. The traditional waterproofing ingredient from 2,000 years of balm-making.
• Non-nano zinc oxide — a skin-protectant that sits on top of skin and cannot absorb into the body (because the particles are larger than 100 nanometers). Adds a breathable physical layer on top of your skin.
• Unrefined organic shea butter — packed with fatty acids and vitamins A and E. Softens rough weathered skin.
• Organic carrot seed oil — rich in beta-carotene and antioxidants. Adds warmth, glow, and nourishment.
• Vitamin E oil — a natural antioxidant that helps extend the shelf life of the balm and adds skin-softening support.

That's it. No petroleum, no synthetic fragrances, no preservatives.

How to use

1. Warm a small amount between your fingertips
2. Apply a thin layer to cheeks, nose, lips, ears, hands, or anywhere facing the elements
3. Reapply as needed after sweating, swimming, or wiping your face
4. Safe for daily outdoor use on face, lips, and hands
5. Use before going outside; reapply at midday if you'll be out for hours

What to expect

• Texture: firm at room temperature, softens immediately with body heat
• Color: soft creamy white with a faint golden undertone from the beeswax and carrot seed oil
• Scent: subtle — warm coconut with a honey-note from the beeswax, no added fragrance
• Finish: leaves a thin, semi-matte layer that feels protective, not greasy
• Water resistance: stays on through sweat and light water exposure for 1-2 hours; reapply after heavy water or toweling
• Coverage: a 2oz jar lasts most outdoor customers 4-8 weeks

This is a moisturizing outdoor balm, not a registered sunscreen. It is not a substitute for FDA-approved sun protection if you need protection from sun damage. For extended sun exposure, we recommend wearing a hat, seeking shade, and using a certified broad-spectrum sunscreen in addition to this balm.

The craft

Hand-mixed in small batches in Oakdale, California — the Cowboy Capital of the World — by people who grew up working outside. We warm the tallow, shea, and coconut oil slowly, fold in the non-nano zinc and beeswax by hand, add the carrot seed and vitamin E oils at the lowest heat, and hand-pour every jar. Shelf life 12+ months unopened.
