The hero

• Real 24-karat edible gold leaf — not gold shimmer, not mica dusted to look gold. Actual gold leaf, food-safe and skin-safe, used in luxury spa and skincare traditions for centuries. Adds subtle visible flecks to the polish and a legitimate luxury texture.

The three-sugar exfoliating blend

• Organic brown sugar — the finest grit. Gently buffs and adds a subtle molasses sweetness to the scent.
• Coconut sugar — mid-level polish with naturally occurring trace minerals.
• Raw cane sugar — the deeper exfoliator. Naturally contains glycolic acid — the same chemical exfoliant found in high-end chemical peels, just in its raw, gentle form.

The nourishing base

• Grass-fed & finished beef tallow — slowly rendered from suet sourced from regenerative California ranches. Mirrors the skin's natural lipids.
• Raw Manuka honey (UMF 15+) — one of the highest-grade Manukas on the market. Naturally humectant (pulls moisture into skin) with a honey-warm undertone.
• Unrefined organic shea butter — packed with fatty acids and phytosterols. Softens the polish and cushions the exfoliation.

The rare oils

• Organic jojoba oil — molecularly closest plant oil to human sebum. Balances the formula.
• Organic argan oil — Morocco's "liquid gold." Rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids.

The botanicals

That's it. No synthetic exfoliating beads, no microplastics, no synthetic fragrances, no parabens, no preservatives.

How to use

1. Shower or bathe as normal — the warm water softens your skin and opens pores
2. Turn off the water. This is important: water in the jar will spoil the oil-based formula.
3. Use the included mini bamboo scoop (or a completely dry spoon) to scoop a small amount into your palm
4. Massage onto damp skin in slow, circular motions — focus on elbows, knees, and other rough patches
5. For face: use a much smaller amount and go extra gently — this is a full-body polish, but fine for face if you have the dexterity
6. Rinse thoroughly with warm water
7. Pat dry — don't rub. A light trace of oil will remain on your skin; this is intentional and continues moisturizing after the shower.
8. Use 1-2 times per week for maintenance; nightly the week before a major event

Critical storage rule

Never introduce water into the jar. This is an oil-and-sugar formula without synthetic preservatives. Water contamination will spoil it quickly. Always use the bamboo scoop or clean, completely dry hands. Keep the lid tightly sealed and wipe the rim dry after each use. Stored correctly, the jar lasts for months.

• Appearance: rich golden-amber with visible flecks of 24K gold leaf. The gold is the real deal — you'll see it glint when you scoop it.
• Texture: thick, oil-based paste with crunchy sugar granules throughout. More indulgent than a standard sugar scrub because of the tallow + shea base.
• Scent: bright grapefruit opens, Manuka honey adds a warm middle, lavender and rosemary settle into a sophisticated herbal base. Spa-like without being perfumed.
• Sensation: warm and softening as your body heat activates the butters and oils. The sugar dissolves as you massage, transitioning from exfoliation to moisturizing.
• After-feel: skin feels silky, glowing, and softly hydrated. A light, nourishing oil layer remains — do not wash this off. Pat dry and let it absorb.
• Jar life: one 8oz jar lasts 12-20 uses, depending on how much you use per session

The craft

Hand-blended in very small batches in Oakdale, California. We slowly warm the tallow, shea butter, and rare oils until melted, fold in the raw sugars by hand so the granules stay intact, then layer in the Manuka honey, blue tansy, and the citrus-lavender-rosemary essential oil blend. The real 24K gold leaf is gently sprinkled in last — we use edible-grade gold leaf, the same used in luxury food applications, so it's safe for skin and safe to trace into your body. Every jar is hand-packed with its own mini bamboo scoop. Shelf life 6-9 months unopened.
